ABOUT US
Avyan Productions is a full service filmmaking company specializing in the creation of unique, commercially lucrative short and feature films. The company’s focus is on crafting screenplays from the ground up, with a current development slate that encompasses a wide range of cinematic styles.
From concept to post, Avyan’s creative team ensures that each step of the filmmaking process meets the company’s demanding standards. This includes script development, casting, production design, location scouting and assembling the ideal director and crew for each project.
In addition to creating entertainment content for the international market, Avyan Productions also possesses the expertise to create branded content for corporate clients and broadcast quality HD video for television networks.
FOUNDER
David Caidar comes from a background in computer science engineering with a Masters degree from City College of New York (CCNY). In 1976 he started Opticomm, a small fiber optics company, from the garage of his house in San Diego, CA. Twenty years later Opticomm operates on a multi-million dollar scale and services dozen’s of high profile names including NBC, Disney, Viacom, NASA and a multitude of government and commercial agencies. In 2007, solar power/fiber optics giant, EMCORE, acquired Opticomm.
After retiring as CEO of Opticomm, David decided it was time for a new endeavor: film.
He moved to Burbank where he attended and graduated top of his class from the New York Film Academy’s MFA program for Producers. In 2008 David fused his passion for storytelling with his business savvy and established Avyan Productions.
With five features currently in development, David’s personable attributes and contagious energy continue to attract positive response within the film community.
